About program
The aim of Emergency Medical Aid study programme is to provide higher college education in the field of medical technology which meets the European standards by preparing a specialist capable of providing the first and the necessary / emergency medical aid independently or with a medical team to persons of different ages, depending on the nature of injuries suffered and the degree of disorder of vital functions as well as of transporting patients and accident victims to medical facilities to ensure the necessary support of vital functions.
Distinctive features of a study programme: Emergency Medical Aid is the only study programme in Lithuania, training emergency medical professionals capable of providing immediate aid to patients of different age groups.

Access to professional activity or further study
The acquired Professional Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and Emergency Medical Aid paramedic qualification enables the graduate to work in rehabilitation centers, hospitals and other health care institutions as well as to cooperate with other health care team members.
Access to further study: Graduates of the first level college studies will be able to continue their studies on the basis of second level studies in health sciences study programs. Studies can be continued in Master’s programs: Rehabilitation, Nursing, Public Health, Public Health Management, Complementary and Alternative Medicine.

Admission requirements
Minimal education of the applicant: Secondary
- Must apply via UNIMETIS system or via email: admissions@ilk.lt
- Must have a valid scanned passport (for non-EU citizens) or scanned ID card (only for EU and EEA citizens)
- Must have a legalized educational documents (Diploma and supplement)
- Must have a certificate issued by a competent authority confirming that the education acquired abroad is recognized as equivalent within the Lithuanian education system
- Must have average score across all high school graduation exams is no less than 46% to be eligible for studies
- Must have at least B2 English language level (certificate is required). You can get it here for free (90 min.)
- Must have a CV (resume)
- Must have a legalized police clearance certificate
- A bank statement must be provided to demonstrate sufficient resources to cover living and study expenses in Lithuania
- Must be able to come to Lithuania in person for studies
- May provide documents confirming work experience in Lithuania related to the chosen study program to receive an additional point.
